Stackable Surface Objects

Posted in EpicTable Development, Screenshots on September 16, 2009 at 2:04 am

Added proper stacking (i.e., “z-order” tracking and rendering) to EpicTable surfaces. This means that if you put one object down on top of another, it’ll look that way and not “slide under” the other object. Not a huge deal, just something that needed to be knocked off the list.

It’s worth noting that because of the surface/map merge I’ve been going on about, this enhancement applies to maps as well. I haven’t talked much about stacking objects on maps yet, but I’ve got some interesting things in mind.

Tomorrow, I’ll add the ability for you to move objects up and down in the stack. I’ll planning on using the context menu (i.e., right-click menu) for this, and will add a keystroke that will do it as well, as discussed in the forum.
